"This video demonstrates 19 custom performances from our latest release for the Korg Wavestate and Wavestate Native. Contemporary VCOS 2 contains a brand new custom sample bank and 20+ custom performances. While our first custom sample bank, "Contemporary VCOS", focused on saw waves, Contemporary VCOS 2 is based on square waves and pulse width modulation. This new sample bank includes 6 VCO multisamples that cover 5 full octaves. (61 samples each) There is also a 7th "bonus" multisample of a Maj7 chord stab that is DCO based. (25 samples or 2 full octaves) Contemporary VCOS 2 contains 391 samples in total.

"This video demonstrates the 11 Performances, 29 Programs and 3 Custom Multisamples that are included with 'Contemporary VCOS', our newest release for the Korg Wavestate and Wavestate Native. All the sounds in this video were created with just 3 Multisamples of custom patches that were created with the OB-6. Each custom patch uses the OB-6's vintage knob mode to some extent. All samples were recorded at 24bit/48Khz through our ASP-880 directly into Nuendo. Each Multisample contains 61 samples! (5 octaves) Each sample was meticulously recorded and edited to ensure the best possible sound quality. The sample loops are long and crossfaded for a seamless playing experience. These samples are raw audio from the OB-6. No compression, EQ or processing of any kind besides a gentle boost of the gain/volume after capture.

"These videos demonstrates custom performances and custom multisamples from our latest release, 'Contemporary VCOS', for the Korg Wavestate and Wavestate Native. All the sounds in this video were created with just 3 multisamples of custom patches that were created with the OB-6. Each custom patch uses the vintage knob mode to some extent and we varied the amount of vintage goodness just a little for each sample. All samples were recorded at 24bit/48Khz through our ASP-880 directly into Nuendo. Each multisample contains 61 samples! (5 octaves) The samples were meticulously recorded and edited to ensure the best possible sound quality. The sample loops are long and crossfaded for a seamless playing experience. These are raw samples from the OB-6. No compression, EQ or processing of any kind besides a gentle boost of the gain/volume after capture.

"This collection contains some 40 performances and 130 programs for the Korg Wavestate/Wavestate S.E. (You also get 10 complimentary performances...see below) Every performance in this set makes heavy use of the various controllers...The modwheel, aftertouch, vector joystick and of course the 40 mod knobs. (8 performance knobs and up to 32 layer mod knobs) If you are looking for vibrato, try the modwheel or aftertouch. Be sure to give the performance and layer mod knobs a spin to further customize the sounds to your needs. We tried to keep the mod knob assignments consistent from performance to performance and program to program but there are more than a few exceptions. Most of the performances in Volume I use the master performance knob as a master filter knob. It usually controls multiple filter parameters of all the layers simultaneously. We suggest that you experiment with all of the controllers, both at the layer level and the performance level, to get the most out of these performances."

Every sound in this demo song was programmed from scratch with the Roland/Studio Electronics SE-02. 16 of our presets from our latest release, "Volume I for the SE-02 " are at work here. Aftertouch, ModWheel, Velocity and Pitchbend were the only controllers used in the performances so you can hear what the presets sound like "out of the box". Practically every patch in this bank has MW, Aftertouch and Velocity assigned. We used a few of the UAD plugins for some extra echoes and reverb here and there. All sounds recorded into Nuendo at 24bit/48Khz through the Audient ASP-880.
